The Lion King

Last Tuesday, I went to see the Broadway version of Lion King at the Gammage Theater. Originally, we got tickets to go for my mom's birthday. But since she is still up in Utah caring for my grandma, we had to go without her! Happy Birthday anyway Mom!! We each had an extra ticket to bring a date. I went with my friend Rob. I didn't really know what to expect when I went to see it. It's the same music as the Disney cartoon. (with a few additional songs). (But those songs are catchy!)

I thought this show was amazing!!! The costumes alone were phenomenal. They are so elaborate. We had really good seats; I was right on my middle aisle. So elephants, rhinos, and monkeys walked right past me. It's a great story anyway, but it was even more impressive when you see it played by real people. Click here if you want to see a sneak peak:
