So- Jasmine had one final interview- that will be published in tomorrow's paper. It's in the local section of the AZ Republic... if you live in Gilbert. (an insert called the Gilbert Republic)
But it's also available online: http://www.azcentral.com/community/gilbert/articles/2009/07/21/20090721gr-contest0722.html
When I read it, I thought it was a nice enough article. Not a lot of what I said made it into the article, but that's okay. (I thought) It's interesting though- because since it was published online, people can make comments. (In particular, ignorant people who know nothing about anything...they have nothing better to do than make comments.)
Most of the comments were fine. I didn't even care when someone said my dog was unattractive. That's a matter of opinion. I don't care if they think my dog is cute or not. Everybody likes different breeds.
But one guy really went off... ranting about how my dog was probably abused - to make it do these tricks.. just like Michael Jackson... blah, blah, blah. And I called my roommate Deena to get a 2nd opinion. (Not whether or not my dog was abused... we both know this dog is beyond spoiled!) But as to whether I should comment back or not. Deena said no. And that this was just the beginning... and it would teach me to have thick skin. (Because I was a little irked... that someone would just accuse me of that... based on NO ACTUAL evidence. But... that's actually what happens a lot in those dumb little commentaries under articles.) She told me not to write back, because it would just spur on the argument more. So I didn't.
I went back later and that comment was gone. Deena told me a lot of people had written him back in my defense. (THANKS MY FRIENDS! For doing what I wanted to do!) And apparently there were so many commentaries fired back at him, that the moderator removed the whole discussion. (Which is fine by me. But I am kind of curious to know what the other people wrote...and who wrote it!) But whoever you were... THANKS. :)
You can call my dog ugly, but you can't say she's abused. ;)
(The ironic part is... if you look at the picture they published... Jasmine is actually sitting on Deena's back. They just cropped it. Jaz loves getting horsey rides... she'll jump on your back anytime. So if anyone in this house is actually getting abused... I would say it's the humans! Deena constantly has to ask me, "now... who's the Alpha?" (because I still say I am!) :)

Good job CJ. You and Luke should talk about staying thick-skinned with tons of online criticism. He got it BAD but it just rolled off.
