Top 10 Finalist!

YEAH!! Jaz made it to be one of the Top 10 Finalists

for the Mighty Dog Competition!

What does this mean?

Well first of all- she's won 6 months of free dog food! (552 cans of Purina Mighty Dog) I'll probably space it out and mix it in with her dry dog food, just so she doesn't get spoiled & used to only eating canned dog food! (Because after it's all gone, she'll have to go back to eating the dry stuff!)

Next is Round 2- the Internet Popularity Vote- starts at noon on Fri. July 3rd. People will have a chance to vote for Jasmine, and rate her video on the Mighty Dog website. That ends on July 17th. So after Friday, please go vote for her!! :)

Then Round 3- they'll have a celebrity judge rate the videos based on the following criteria:
1) Appropriateness to the “Mighty Dog Nation: The Movie” theme (demonstrate attitudes bigger than size ); 2) Mightiness of the Moment (clear demonstration of the entry category behaviors described above); and 3) Star Potential (engaging and entertaining).

#2 is where our weak spot may be. Jaz didn't fit into any of their defined categories. But they had an additional category: A Wagging Walk-On Role, if your dog was mighty in another way. So, we'll see what direction their marketing people want to take.

Based on the combined scores from Round 2 & 3- they will pick the Top 3 Grand Prize Winners. These 3 dogs get: 1 year free Dog Food, to be filmed for a 30 second commerical to be played on NBC Thanksgiving Day, to be in a 3-5 minute "Dog-umentary" shown on the Mighty Dog Website, and a hometown film premiere party in early 2010 for the dog and her friends. (that means you guys!) :) (If she makes it that far.)

If not, there will always be something else! I like teaching Jaz new tricks, and she likes doing them because that means she gets treats! I've decided to start her in agility classes in the fall, just so she can learn directions. (Because I've tried teaching her to go to multiple markers, but she just goes to the first one she sees.) So I need some help on this one. Plus, it will be really fun! I've wanted to do it before, but up until now, I couldn't because of my work schedule. But now we can! :)
