Here are some of my interests/favorite things-to-do:
Interests: LOTS O' STUFF! Anything fun! Outdoors, I love skiing, camping, scuba-diving, rappelling, hiking, rollerblading, and horse-back riding. (I also love traveling with friends and riding my motorcycle- when it's in working condition!) Indoors, I love watching movies, going to broadway plays (certain ones) or dance recitals , reading, creative writing, games, and teaching my dog Jasmine to do tricks.
My Favorite Music:
Oldies (60's & 70's), Pop, Top 40, Classic Rock, 80's, Broadway Tunes (Wicked, Joseph, Les Mis, Phantom, Mamma Mia), New Age, Alternative, some country, come classical (whatever I'm in the mood for)
SOME of my Favorite Movies:
Italian Job, Notting Hill, What About Bob?, Hitch, Get Smart, Far & Away, Top Gun, Princess Bride, While You Were Sleeping, Emperor's New Grove, etc.
SOME of my Favorite Books:
Marley & Me, any books by Raymond E. Feist (fiction), Gerald Lund (Work & the Glory series AND Fishers of Men series), C.S. Lewis, Harry Potter, Outlander Series (historical fiction), Personality Books, Twilight, Calvin & Hobbes, and a little Dr. Seuss. (Green Eggs & Ham).
Favorite TV Shows:
Currently, Bones, Scrubs, and I love the Office!!
ABOUT ME:
Who am I? Well, that's difficult for anyone to surmise from one paragraph.
Basically- I have a fun, out-going personality.
*I am generally upbeat, optimistic, and enjoy living life to the fullest. I veer more towards outdoors/adventurous activities if given the choice. But then again, I love a good movie or book too. I like to do and try it all. (I have a very specific "Things to Do Before I Die" list. I keep crossing things off... but then always add more to the list! I guess that's what makes life fun, right?
*I feel I'm strong in the gospel. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm grateful for the different callings I've had, and how they've helped me to grow. (and strengthened my testimony.)
*I really enjoy going on different adventures and traveling to beautiful places. (So I can more fully appreciate all of God's magnificent creations, and gain perspective by experiencing different cultures.
*But it’s always good to come home too. Because I love being around my family and friends. (and my puppy Jasmine!)
* I like to challenge myself. I like to try new things. I value the opportunities I’ve had to work to make my dreams come true.
* I like making new friends. Anyone who is genuine, kind, and likes to laugh and have fun can qualify for my friend list! I am definitely a people-person! My life's philosophy is Carpe Diem.
We only get one shot at this time on earth- so we might as well enjoy it! Live it up! And work hard to make your dreams a reality!!
Right now, I'm loving the Chris Daughtery song verse that says "Be careful what you wish for, 'cause you just might get it all." And it's true. If we stay close to the Lord, He will help us achieve our full potential. So that's my plan. :)
